Blasted Black - Sephora by OPI

Blasted Black ($12.00 CAD/$9.50 USD) from Sephora by OPI is part of a new line of polishes presented by the Cosmetics retailer. These polishes are being known as "Blasted" polishes by Sephora, however they are the same style of polish as Crackle or Shatter polishes from other nail brands such as OPI, China Glaze, Barry M, etc.

Blasted Black is Sephora's answer to the basic black version of a crackling polish. The formula is very thin, which makes it very easy to get many veins in the polish coat. It is possible to apply a thicker coat and receive only a couple of large cracks in the coat as well. The brush is thin and holds the product well. It helps with creating thin, quick coats.

I also own the line of China Glaze Crackle Polishes and I find their formula to be thicker and a little more difficult to achieve a thin coat with many cracks and veins. I prefer the look of a thinner coat with many cracks, so the Sephora by OPI Blasted colours may have a special place in my heart.

The polishes are listed as permanent items on the Sephora website, so hopefully they will remain so and we'll have lots of colours coming up.
